Apartment 2 rooms, 2 people saint-germain-des-pres-luxembourg-beaux-arts in Paris
The apartment as Seen by Gaëlle Rigou of Parisian Home.
A Paris apartment to rent that has an exceptional location: on the border of the 6th and 7th districts, it has one foot in Saint Germain and the other one in Montparnasse. This is a very pleasant and upscale area, very residential and safe. Very close to Rodin museum, the Ecole Militaire, the Invalides and also the Eiffel Tower and downtown is not too far from this apartment in Paris either.
In the very same street bakeries, a butcher and many other shops, especially the Bon Marche are just waiting for your visit to offer you a glimpse of the French way of life. The closest subway stop to the vacation rental in Paris is Vaneau, but Sevres Babylone and Duroc, where you can catch different lines, are five minutes away by foot.
This building was the barracks of the musketeers of the King so it is filled with history and has its own spirit. Who knows if you are not going to sleep in D'Artagnan's bedroom and slide into his dreams of justice and glory? The building, with its wooden beams, is very authentic, and comes from the 17th century. The courtyard is also charming and was at that time a way for the musketeers horses. The access is secured by a door code and a second gate with an intercom. The apartment is locate on the 2nd floor without lift. It is quiet, luminous, the windows overlook the courtyard.
This 40sqm apartment has been entirely renovated in June 2013. It has a separate bedroom and can sleep three guests. The entrance hall is open on the main room. It has been organized in several areas, separated by a natural wall divider made of wooden beams. On one side, the living-room features a comfortable couch (it can be converted in a bed for one person, 110x180), a coffee table and an armchair.
A beautiful wooden desk and its chair will be perfect if you need to work. The living-room features a large flat television with cable TV channels. The dining-room/fitted kitchen is on the other side. The kitchen is very well furnished and comfortable, the dining table will accommodate two guests.
The bedroom is accessible from the living-room. It features a double bed 140x200, a television and a closet for your clothes. The bathroom is next to the bedroom. It has a walk-in shower and a large washbasin. The toilets are in a separate room, right next to the entrance hall, with toilets and a washbasin. The small corridor leading to the toilets has been equipped with another closet for your coats and luggage.
This apartment is very quiet, you will feel so comfortable here as everything has been thought for it. Decorated with much taste, each piece has been carefully chosen, from the couch pillows to the soap dish, from the beautiful feather ceiling light to the telephone itself, everything matches so well, you will love this place which happily mixes vintage style furniture with contemporary pieces. This place is comfortable, perfect for long stays and for short vacations, it has nothing but top of the range equipment, it is very bright, quiet, beautifully arranged : we love it !
Note that ATHOS is in the same building as AT-HOME, and at the same address as SEVR89c and SEVR89, so if you are a large family or group of friends and need 3 bedrooms for instance, you can combine ATHOS with another apartment !

Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Luxembourg, Beaux Arts
Welcome to the heart of a neighborhood with a unique history and culture. Boris Vian compared it to an island. Settle down at the Café de Flore or the Deux Magots and imagine this place when artists and intellectuals were agitated nonconformists, Beauvoir and Sartre in the forefront. Jazz, poetry readings, theatre shows… Creativity at its best. Post war, Be-bop dancing was common place here, as were the curiously eccentric Zazous with their outlandish rebellious fashion. The Jacques Brothers, Juliette Gréco or Léo Ferré were regulars at these bars. Impromptu jam sessions are still a common site today.
At Buci market take a glass on the terrace and discover, just nearby, the incredibly narrow Rue Visconti lined with sixteenth century houses. A few streets further, you will find the Académie française and the Beaux Arts school. Lastly, pop over to the “Luco”, the Luxembourg gardens, to have a coffee on the lawn and watch chess players or tennis players play as soon as spring arrives. Enjoy this wonderfully romantic place to stroll, as did Rousseau, Beaudelaire, or Delacroix in their time.
