Location

Renovated at the end of 1980s, Montorgueil street's neighborhood is an extension of Les Halles. Its streets, newly made of cobblestones, are now roads closed to traffic. Montorgueil is a market place where bakers, cheese mongers, and market gardeners are lined up: all the colors and aromas make the travelers feel like they are in little villages in the countryside of France. There are lots of restaurants and bars in the streets nearby.

Building and orientation

The flat is located on the 2nd floor of an 18th century old building with no elevator. It overlooks both the courtyard and the street.

Layout of the apartment

Half rustic, half family house, this flat is without a doubt very charming. An entrance hall leads to all the rooms. The living room faces west, overlooks the street with its two large double glazing windows. It is furnished with a 160 cm sofa bed, 2 armchairs, a coffee table, several bookcases filled with ancient books, a dining table for 4 people, a sideboard and a flat screen TV. An open-plan kitchen with a bar and bar-stools opens onto the living room. The bedroom, situated on the peaceful side, overlooks the courtyard and has two 80 cm beds that can be twinned to form a 160 cm double bed, adjoining with the bathroom that is equipped with a shower tub. The toilets are separate.

Great location

Great service but I would rather go direct to where I am staying than have to go to another address first, albeit that on this occasion it was not far between the two premises.

Outstanding

We had a wonderful stay in Paris in this apartment. A wonderful location with a food lovers dream come true - patisserie, italian deli, fruit shop, fromagerie - all next door and visible from the window. The metro was only one 100m away so transport was no problem (get the app -it was invaluable). There were plenty of local and international food place to eat and the late night desserts and coffee were great.

The guys from the letting office were wonderful. Contact was easy and timely.

The flat was clean and well appointed - though the separate toilet was very
tiny.

outstanding location in a restricted traffic area

We really felt we lucked out with this apartment. It was 5 mins from RER station. !5 mins from the Louvre. Street was made up of cafes, bakeries, restaurants, grocery stores, butcher shops, produce markets, fish markets, chocolatiers. There was even an old fashioned hardware store. After getting over the initial shock of the nondescript street front entry and the very small WC, we came to love the place for our 10 days in Paris. The area felt very safe even at night. The street was noisy with people activity early and late but we had no trouble sleeping after our very full sightseeing days. Although not spotless the apart was clean. Management staff was friendly and helpful quick to supply missing items.
