Area

Renovated at the end of 1980s, the area surrounding the rue Montorgueil and metro Sentier has seen a renaissance in the last years. This used to be the center of the textile industry in Paris, but now guests will find cobble stone pedestrian streets lined with outdoor markets and many restaurants. The atmosphere gives the impression of a small village on market day while still be a short walk to the major transportation center of Les Halles and Chatelet.

Apartment Layout

This two bedroom two bathroom apartment was recently renovated to the highest standards with our guests in mind. Throughout one will find accents of blues, pinks and earth tones along with original art by the owner of the property.

As one enters the apartment they are greeted on the left of the entry hall a large open living and dining area complete with a state of the art kitchen. The space is bathed in light from the three floor to ceiling windows which lead on to a private terrace overlooking the Montorgueil neighborhood. Guests will find a small table and chairs on the terrace where they can relax and enjoy a glass of wine after a long day exploring the city!

There is a very comfortable sofa bed as well as two arm chairs for guests to relax and entertain in the living area. There is tons of built in storage space behind the couch so guests can really unpack and get comfortable. The apartment is also equipped with a flat screen TV and integrated air conditioning throughout, a rarity in Paris!

In the dining area guests will find a dining table for four and a beautiful open kitchen with chic tiling. There is everything one needs to prepare a meal and entertain including an oven, microwave, Nespresso machine and full size fridge and freezer.

Moving back into the hallway guests will find the first bathroom with a shower and vanity next to a separate WC. Further down the hallway is the first bedroom, this room can be made up as two comfortable twin beds or one queen size bed. This room has bedside lighting and a large double glazed window to ensure lots of light and a peaceful night.

The master bedroom is next to this first bedroom and has a very comfortable queen bed with another large window giving lots of light. There is more storage in this room for guests to completely unpack. Guests will find an en suite bathroom off of the master bedroom decorated in wood and rose accents. This chic bathroom has a beautiful vanity with inset lighting and a very comfortable bath tub for guests to relax in. There is also a second WC and towel warmer to complete this stylish bathroom.

This beautifully renovated apartment is the perfect choice for guests looking to be in the center of Paris. It boasts beautiful light throughout and even has air conditioning for those warmer Paris days.

We were very comfortable in our lovely appartment in Paris, would definitely recommend for anyone especially those with kids!

Fantastic location

My family couldn't have been happier with the apartment. Great location next to the Reaumur Sebastopol metro exit to be able to travel all over the city and then come home each night and have such a great food selection on Rue Montorgueil surrounded by Parisians.

Not air conditioned

We were very disappointed due to the fact that this property was advertised as have air conditioning. Only small bedroom was air conditioned and the other air conditioner never cooled and the rest of the apartment never got below 80 degrees during the day and not much lower at night We requested repair the first day and no one ever showed up during our stay to repair. Further the air conditioner would go out every 30 minutes in the spare bedroom and we would have to cut.,it back on each time. Made for sleepless nights and hot as hell. Otherwise apartment was as advertised

clean but not comfortable

The apartment was clean and decent overall, with a nice balcony that had a small table and 2 chairs. Modern amenities like dishwasher (except the washer/dryer was very tricky to use), shower and a tub, and very modern decor. A/C was nice, but it did blow directly on us in the bed so had to be turned off at night.
The bed was uncomfortable with cheap foam pillows. The beds could use blankets or comforters, a more cushy mattress, and more pillows for the beds and couch to make the place more comfortable. There was a nearby grocery market to buy our food, but would be a nice touch if you provided at least a box of coffee pods to start out with. We would have liked to have a second house key as we split off and then had to wait for the others to arrive home to open the door.
We did NOT APPRECIATE being told to empty our own trash on the street in the city trash cans! I do not think it's appropriate to ask your guests to do this during their vacation, because you have not made a new key for the apartment trash receptacles. Also, the housekeepers should do this as part of the cleaning service. Nonetheless, we went out of our way twice to empty the trash and recycling to their respective bins on the street.
Customer service was very lacking from the start. It took days for Parisian Home to reply to emails, even though I said I needed a reply before my trip to square away arrival details as I would be traveling and have limited internet access. I called to inform your employee when we arrived, although it was difficult to find internet access to call. The call cut out and I did not hear the end of the directions, but we made our way to the apartment by metro. Once we arrived, we were lectured abruptly about not taking the metro that he recommended (which I didn't hear due to spotty wifi connection for the call).
Overall, I didn't feel really welcome and respected as I did with our apartment through airbnb in London and as I did in our other lodging in France.
