Location

Renovated at the end of the 1980s, the neighborhood of the rue Montorgueil is an extension of Les Halles. Nowadays, its cobblestone streets are closed to traffic. Montorgueil is a market street with rows of market gardeners, cheesemakers and bakers: colors and scents reminiscent of country villages. In the surrounding streets you will find numerous restaurants and bars.

Building and orientation

It is an old and well-maintained building with a secure access and an elevator. The apartment, located on the second floor directly accessible by the elevator, has views on a semi-pedestrian cobblestone street.

Layout of the apartment

This large apartment of 89 square meters, recently renovated, is a comfortable and pleasant place to stay. It has several rooms so that everyone can enjoy its own private space. As soon as you enter the apartment, you will feel its quietness and brightness. The accommodation is divided into two parts. The first one has a bedroom with a 160 cm double bed, a wardrobe and an Italian shower. It also includes a bathroom with a bathtub and toilets and other separate toilets. The other part of the accommodation overlooks a cobblestone street and is made up of 3 different areas:
- Tastefully decorated, the large living room includes a fully-equipped American kitchen (fridge-freezer), a dishwasher, hotplates with an extractor hood, an oven, a micro-wave and a washer/dryer. A sophisticated bar faces an elegant glass table, so you have different options to take a meal. A lounge area is situated in front of the three windows with a leather couch and a flat screen TV.
- A private living room with a 140 cm convertible sofa provides another sleeping space. Bright and isolated from the main living room, this room can also be used as an office.
- Separated from the private living room by a half-glazed partition, you can find another room with a 160 cm double bed.

Wonderful apartment

Our family of five thoroughly enjoyed visiting the apartment. It was close to public transport and walking distance to most of the top sights of Paris. The neighbourhood was also fantastic with the Montorguiel street full of places to eat and find delicious fruit, cheese, deli meats and bakery goods.
The staff at the office to book us in were friendly and very professional.

Excellent accommodation. Good enough sized rooms and exactly as portrayed in the pictures. Good advice on how to get there from airports! Lovely boulangeries around for breakfast and lunch. Some advice on good restaurants for dinner would have been helpful. Good location, 10 mins walk from the Louvre. Would have been nice to have been given more washing up and dishwasher tablets. As we arrived on Sunday there was no one to show us around, which would have been helpful. A sink that had a functioning plug would have been useful for shaving. Overall very satisfactory.

The apartment was very clean and the service was exellent.
The location was also super!
There was no clear instructions for where to put the garbage, but maybe future customers will have such those.

Great location!

This apartment is in the ideal location. Tons of cute places to eat and shop. The apartment itself is very spacious and has 2.5 bathrooms. There are two bedrooms and a pull out couch. The pull out couch is also over to the side of the living room, so there was some privacy there as well. The apartment was clean. The staff at Parisian Home were very helpful as well in answering our questions. We were very satisfied!

Did not want to leave

Loved our apartment
Location in a no traffic zone was an absolute bonus. Location was central to everything.
Street full of diners and sound proofing worked a treat.
Caretaker of apartment helped us a lot, she does not work for Parisian homes. She speaks no English but with sign language she got us all settled.
Would not stay anywhere else.
The only issue was the naming of train station, still don't understand it. Train Instruction say to get off at chatelet-les-halles. We found two separate stations from gare du Nord, one called chatelet and another les halles. Tip : Get off at les halles Station. Later on on our stay we found station chatelet-les-halles at the halles station ???????

Great Apartment and Great Location.

This Apartment is perfect for four people maybe 5. Perfect location in a great neighborhood. Close to the metro and within walking distance to major attractions. You have to love to walk! The second bedroom was lacking a place to hang clothes or a dresser to put clothes in. Other than that it was well equipped. Would definitely use Parisianhome.com again.

Renovated in the 1980s, the district of rue Montorgueil is an extension of Les Halles. Since the renovation, motor vehicle traffic is prohobited in its newly-paved streets. Montorgueil is primarily a market street with gardeners, cheese makers, and bakers; the colors and aromas are reminiscent of countryside villages. The neighboring small streets are home to a selection of bars and restaurants.
