How to book an apartment in Paris?

You select one or many of the apartments you are interested in on the website and send us an e-mail. We check the availability for your period and send you back a reply. If the apartment(s) you have selected is (are) already booked, we will propose other apartments for you. When you are ready to book it we send you a contract by e-mail.

TO BOOK the apartment :

First, please print and send back the contract signed on each page and the form filled out, by fax (33.1.45.08.03.54).

Don’t forget to inform us how you expect to pay the 50% deposit and on a second time please send by regular mail the same contract with your signature on each page, the form filled out and your payment.

Please go to the heading "Payment" to know how to pay or go to the heading "Accepted Payment" to know which kind of payment you can choose.

The apartment is booked for you when we have received a signed contract and the 50% deposit. We will hold any apartment for up to 10 days while awaiting your payment and contract. Then we send you a confirmation.

How to pay?

We ask you for a deposit of 50% of the total rental price for the booking.

You should send us the balance of the total rental price and security deposit refundable at least fifteen days before your arrival.

To know the amount of the security deposit that is refundable, please go to the heading “Security deposit refundable”.

Is there any tax to pay?

According to the French law every guest staying in an apartment must pay a visitor’s tax. OThe cost is 0,82 Euro per day and per person.

Which payments are available?

You can pay by:

Bank transfer

Official check

Cash

Credit card (Visa or MasterCard)

Traveller checks

Warning : if you choose a bank transfer payment, you will pay bank fees. Our account bank number is mentioned on the contract.

Payments by American Express are not allowed.

How is the security deposit refundable?

The contract includes the payment of a security deposit by the tenant, whatever the type of accommodations. This security deposit is used to cover possible defaults of the tenant.

Sums to be paid for rent, taxes (including city, visitor's tax and other taxes) as well as other charges including a security deposit are spelled out in the contract.

Security deposit shall be refunded, minus any amount withheld to cover repairs to premises and a deduction will be made, if need be, for the amounts owed (electricity, telephone, rent). Restitution of moneys due may take place during the month of departure or, at the latest, two months after tenant's departure according to the French executive order of 8 January 1993.

Whatever the payment you chose, the security deposit is refunded by crediting your credit card.

How long can we stay?

We rent for a minimum stay of 3 nights. There is no maximum stay. You can rent an apartment as long as you want.

For over one week, PARISIAN HOME will calculate the proportional share of the price based on nights. The third and the fourth weeks are with a 50% discount price. So if you stay one month you will pay the price of three weeks.

Can we extend our stay?

An extension can be made. Please note that any extension cannot be guaranteed if you don’t ask for it.

Your extension is guaranteed within 2 days if you ask for it during you stay and of course if the apartment is available after your theoretical departure. After this delay of 2 days, if you have not signed an amendment of the contract, the extension is not guaranteed.

When can we arrive?

You are free to choose your date of arrival and you can arrive any day of the week. You should notify PARISIAN HOME at least one week in advance of the day and precise time of arrival.

Can we rent during high season?

Please note a 10% price increase during the high season (October, Christmas, March, April, May, June and July).

What about the arrival and the departure from the airport?

We can book a shuttle for you: for your arrival (from the airport to the apartment) and for your departure (from the apartment to the airport)

The driver will pick you at the airport. Before picking up your luggage, please phone a free toll number 0800 77 61 63 (Warning: you must dial this number from a French phone). The driver will drive you to the apartment and will give you the key.

What about the checkin?

At your arrival from Monday until Friday, the apartment keys will be at your disposal at our office from 9 am until 7 pm.

If you take the shuttle from the airport to the apartment, the driver will give you the keys. If there is a departure from the apartment the day of your arrival, you will be able to let your luggage in the apartment from 10.00 but arrival in the apartment starts from 3 pm(after the cleaning is done).

Early check-in is possible if the apartment is ready. If not you can leave your luggage at our office from 9.00 hours while the cleaning will be done.

If you want a PARISIAN HOME agent to welcome you at the apartment from Monday until Friday and from 9 am to 7 pm, there is an extra fee of 35€.

For week-end arrivals (Saturday and Sunday) and bank days holidays ( January 1st, May 1st, May 8th, July 14th, August 15th, November 1st, November11th, December 25th), make sure to pay the full cost of the stay at least fifteen days before the arrival, the keys will be at your disposal in a safe spot.

Remember: keep the letter of confirmation with your, because you will need vital information about the building (code, floor, door left or right).For security reasons we can not leve this anywhere.

What about the departure and the check-out?

During the week, from Monday until Friday, the check-out time is before 10 am. Premises must be vacated on the date and at the time stated in the contract.

You have to call the agency two days before your departure to inform us of the hour of your check out. Otherwise, the check out time is 10 a.m.

For week-end departures and bank days holidays (January 1st, May 1st, May 8th, July 14th, August 15th, November 1st, november 11th, December 25th), you will be told where to leave the keys.

Meters will be checked on the next Monday morning and PARISIAN HOME will deduct from the security deposit the amount of the electricity and telephone.

If an agent of PARISIAN HOME observes damage after your departure, we will inform you and we will deduct the amount from the security deposit.

What are the conditions for cancelling?

In case of cancellation fifteen days before the arrival, the Tenant owes the full amount of the rent.

In the case of cancellation more than fifteen days before the arrival, the tenant forfeits the deposit.

What kind of service charges are to be paid?

Tenant must pay electricity and gas (if there is gas in the apartment) you consumed.

The day of your arrival, we inform you about the electricity (and gas) number mentioned on the meter. If you disagree with this number, please let us know the same day.

Meters are in the apartment for your monitoring convenience. When you leave an agent who does the check out with you will note the number on the meter.

For electricity and gas, the price of the KW consumed is 0,20 Euros. You can pay by cash in Euros or USD or if you agree we can deduct from the refund of the security deposit.

How to use the telephone?

If the apartment is equipped with a telephone, you will use a prepaid phone card from France Telecom. There is no charge if you don’t use the telephone.

If you need an internet access, let us know before arrival. We will open the line for you and you will pay the telephone connection you consumed.

Please note that we have to wait for receipt of the France Telecom bill, after your departure, to know exactly your consumption. In this case we will deduct from the security deposit the amount of the telephone bill.

Are pets allowed?

We are sorry but the pets are not allowed in any apartment, unless prior authorization has been obtained from PARISIAN HOME.

How much are the agency fees?

We have the pleasure to inform you that our prices mentioned on the website and on your contract include agency fees.

Do we need to bring linens and towels?

We furnish clean linens and towels in each apartment. If you stay more than two weeks, we provide a second clean set of linens and towels.

Are the apartments clean?

Apartment is cleaned before your arrival. During your stay, we ask you to maintain in the same state you found it. We can provide extra cleaning on demand (22,86 € /hour.VAT included).

Is there a laundry service?

Pressing at home is one of our services. Clothes can be collected at your apartment from 3pm and be given back until 9pm. You can book this service by phone (0810.630.600), from 8am to 9pm.

Please note that in case of absolute necessity or emergency we reserve our right to change the apartment that you booked for one of the same or higher standing.

PARISIAN HOME proposes a baby sitting service.

Do I need to subscribe an insurance for my apartment?

Our insurance guarantees damages to the tenant's and other occupants’ personal effects in consequence of fire, explosion or water damage. The insurance will guarantee rental responsibilities and resort of the neighbors and thirds.
